Seminar on Failed Negotiations: Lessons Learned & Challenges for the Future Peace Talks

National peace Campaign had organized an Interaction Program on "Failed Negotiation: Lessons learned and challenges for the future peace talks" from 18th to 20th Kartik (3 - 5 November 2004) at Pokhara. This program focused on past experiences, and all the possible challenges that can arise during future peace negotiations.

This study report includes major reasons for the failure of the peace talk programs for example there was no commitment from government on political issues, there was no participation of political parties on the negotiations, the government was not interested in finding the solution outside the boundary of the constitution and the Maoist opposition were not interested to work inside the boundary of the constitution.
